Glass Jar Project Publications
Glass Jar Projects is an online shelf of art experiments. It displays a theatrical non-existent theme in which nothing happens many times over in a world abstract from practicality and application. Where improbable proximities and leaps of association are sketchily played with, it has a conundrum of possible meanings within its texts and visuals of ambiguous significance and juxtaposition. The Glass Jar Projects’ metaphorical vessels also hold a storage space for ink pots and paint tubes and rolled up intercontinental travel guides. Many of them contain potions for obsession of the translation between scattered thought and realization through text and image documentation of the textures of daily life; programs which paradox and parody the idiosyncrasies of individual and collective recall. The failure to predict the future, corrected into a state of perfect symmetry and widespread harmony can be witnessed in its reflections. Here, the perfect final few moments are digestible in Technicolor before the imminent disenchantment, fall from grace and failure to comply with an actual sequence of occurrences or outcomes. Like the liquid end which messily concludes frozen ice, like double vision, like the flicker between channels, like a frighteningly full bottle of ink, like the burning smell from a chemistry set experiment; these are The Glass Jar Projects.
